Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) | Stretch
Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) is an innovative training program designed to help dancers develop strength, flexibility, and body awareness through exercises that complement traditional ballet technique. Using carefully structured exercises and specialized equipment such as stability balls and resistance bands, PBT targets core stability, proper alignment, and muscle engagement—key elements for executing ballet movements with precision and control.
Level A & Level B
PBT is offered in two levels to meet dancers at their current ability:
-
Level A – For dancers building foundational strength and alignment.
-
Level B – For dancers ready to advance their technique, control, and muscle engagement.
Classes are tailored for dancers of all levels and focus on improving the specific muscles used in ballet positions and movements. Once a month, each class will be switched to a dedicated stretch class, allowing dancers to focus on flexibility, release, and recovery.
By emphasizing strength, alignment, and body awareness, PBT helps dancers enhance performance, prevent injury, and build the technical foundation necessary to excel in ballet and other dance styles.
