Contemporary / Worship

Our Contemporary/Worship dance class blends elements from a variety of dance styles, offering a dynamic and expressive movement experience rooted in both artistry and faith. This class challenges dancers to move beyond traditional technique, exploring fluidity, musicality, and emotional expression.

Dancers will learn to connect deeply with the music, the movement, and the intention behind each piece—communicating stories and emotions that resonate with an audience. We also encourage dancers to explore movement as an expression of their personal faith, creating a meaningful and authentic artistic experience.

At LDA, we are intentional in our music selection. When using music with lyrics, we prioritize songs that are clean, uplifting, and aligned with positive or worship-centered messages.

​

We strongly encourage all Contemporary/Worship dancers to take a ballet class alongside their training, as it greatly supports the development of technique, strength, and artistry.

​

Each tap class will perform in our end of the season recital!

Required Attire: bare feet or skin-toned contemporary shoes, black leggings or leggings-shorts worn with tights (no bare legs), and any color leotard
